1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Affirmation List ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Affirmation List is an app created and operated by SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (63 Westfield Rd, Modderfontein Lethabong, Edenvale, 1609). When you use the App, you are entering into an agreement with SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd. References to "we", "us", or "our" throughout these Terms refer to SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd.

2. Description of Service

Affirmation List is a mobile application designed to help users:

• Create and manage personalized affirmation lists
• Set daily reminders for positive affirmations
• Track their mindfulness journey and personal growth
• Build positive habits through repeated positive messaging

3. User Accounts and Data

The App does not require user registration or account creation. All personal content you create within the App (such as affirmations, lists, and journal entries) is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• Backing up your data as needed
• Any content you choose to create within the App

Analytics & Performance Data

We use PostHog Inc to collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data (such as which screens are viewed and buttons tapped), crash reports, and performance metrics. This data cannot be linked back to you as an individual and is used solely to improve the stability and functionality of the App. During onboarding, you may be asked optional demographic questions (such as age range) — you can decline these by selecting "Skip". Subscription Data

If you purchase a premium subscription, anonymous purchase identifiers are processed by RevenueCat to validate and manage your subscription status. We do not receive your payment details — these are handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Modify, adapt, hack, or reverse engineer the App
• Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of South Africa and applicable international treaties.

You retain all rights to the affirmations and content you create within the App. We do not claim any ownership over your personal content.

6. In-App Purchases

The App offers premium features through in-app purchases and subscriptions. By making a purchase, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable fees as displayed in the App
• The billing policies of the Apple App Store
• Subscription terms and renewal conditions where applicable

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, our third-party subscription provider. Your payment information is processed solely by Apple — SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd does not receive or store your payment details. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the Apple App Store. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUAREBOOST (PTY) LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Affirmation List is a self-improvement tool and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition. The App is not a replacement for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles. SquareBoost (Pty) Ltd is incorporated and operates in South Africa, and any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Where applicable, users in other jurisdictions retain any rights granted to them under their local consumer protection laws.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the App or website. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with (PostHog and RevenueCat), and your rights regarding that data. By using the App, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
